Regional tourism customer survey – 2020-2021

The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Regional Tourist Committee, Sud Region and its partners are developing an observatory for tourism based on ambitious procedures, given the importance of tourism and the stakes for our territories.
The better to identify visitors’ expectations and satisfy them, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, the departements making it up and partners are rolling out a major survey to gather information from visitors having spent at least one night in the Region away from their main residence. LINKEUS Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Convention Bureau is a partner to this survey, which is being conducted until September 2021.
Survey targets:

  • Extra-regional tourists having spent at least one night in Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur, regardless of the purpose: recreational, business, etc.
  • Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur residents having spent at least one night in the region

Survey of convention-goers’ expenses

Professional meetings are essential for our region: economic growth levers generating major results — direct and indirect —as well as serving as an international showcase.

In the context of the work of the Industry Observatory for meetings and professional events in the Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur Region, LINKEUS launched several studies at the end of 2009 leading in the long term to a survey of this activity sector’s economic benefits for the Region.

A Technical Steering Committee was then set up with The Regional Tourist Committee Provence-Alps-Côte d’Azur and Tourism Board Côte d’Azur France, first to undertake a survey on the expenditure practices of convention-goers staying in the Region’s establishments. The purpose is to obtain quickly an initial assessment of the economic weight of the industry of meetings and professional event in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.

A survey made in 2009 with different establishments in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, in collaboration with Cabinet TNS Sofres.
